Raj is a British born South Asian artist and Illustrator, now living and working in Germany.

She graduated from Central St. Martins School of Art in 2000. Her art practice seeks to capture a sense of 'aliveness' through expressive mark making, bold, loose line work and striking yet simple use of colour.

"I want viewers of my work to be able to see the movement of my hand across the page, to feel the tactility of the materials as they leave their marks. The experience of drawing and capturing living things, and rendering them to look and feel alive is what excites me. My work is about the simple joy and wonder of being here, in this world."

Raj relocated to Bavaria, Germany and now lives and works there with her husband, son and 2 Giant Schanuzers.
